Three women killed as tractor overturns in Nalgonda

Three women were killed and 13 others sustained grievous injures when the tractor in which they were travelling for work overturned at Oravanikunta in Mattampally mandal on Wednesday morning.

Information reaching the district headquarters said women farm labourers were being taken to Peeklanayak tanda to work on chilli farm when the driver lost control of the vehicle. As the vehicle overturned, three women identified as Bhukya Suja (30), Bhukya Sujani (42) and Banoth Amoli (30), all residents of Kalvapally tanda died on the spot. Thirteen others suffered bleeding injuries and were rushed to Government area hospital at Huzurnagar.

The condition of a couple of injured women was serious, according to police. Police have registered a case.
