NASHIK: The city police have issued a tender notice to procure public address systems on a rental basis for the coming Kumbh Mela.
Bids have been invited for analog centralised and standalonepublic address systems. The police are expecting to procure 1,734 horns for the city and 940 horns for Trimbakeshwar for the religious mega event. Quotations have also been invited from bidders for installing the public address system at Trimbakeshwar.
The last date of submitting the bids is March 30. However, a pre-bid meeting will take place at the police commissionerate on March 23 so that bidders can get their doubts cleared.
Horns for the public address system will be installed at entry and exit points of the city, inner and outer parkings, densely crowded areas, Sadhugram, holding areas, shahi and pilgrim routes, administrative routes, temple and ghat areas and other important roads.
The bidders concernedwill have to supply, install, commission and maintain the centralised and standalone public address systems from August 1 to September 30, as well as provide training on system operation to control room and site staff.
