Sonakshi Sinha's action thriller is called Akira

It is a known fact that Sonakshi Sinha is readying herself for an action-thriller with AR Murugadoss, the maker of Ghajini and Holiday — A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. We have learnt that the film is called Akira, which means ‘graceful strength’ in Sanskrit.

It is the name of Sonakshi’s character in the film, a quietly intense and misunderstood girl who is forced to fight back when she is put in a corner.It’s truly interesting that after Ghajini, Murugadoss has once again chosen an unusual character name as the title for his new film.
The film is said to be an emotional thriller set in Mumbai and Rajasthan with Sonakshi performing action for the first time. As with most of Murugadoss’ previous films, this one too has a social message. This time, he turns his focus towards the safety of women in the country today.
