Bidar police arrested Shanmukhappa Bokki and Narasing Bhandari on charges of damaging idols in the Hanuman temple in Basava Kalyan last year.
The two have confessed to indulging in vandalism to bring disrepute to the temple committee.
A team led by Assistant SP Dharmendra Kumar Meena led the investigations.
