Proposal on menu for Annie, Lloyd

They may have been booted from My Kitchen Rules but an engagement still could be on the cards for *Annie Caroline *and *Lloyd Weir *.

When they first appeared on the top-rating Seven show, Caroline said she expected her high-school sweetheart to pop the question if they won the competition.

While the Adelaide lovebirds were sent packing last night after a tense cook-off with fellow SA team *Vicky * and *Celine Kaponias *, Caroline told _AAA _ she was still hoping for a marriage proposal from Weir.

"I am still pounding Lloyd for the question," the bubbly redhead said.

"He has said so many times that he is just waiting for the moment where we are a little more secure in our lives financially and job-wise. We are on a rollercoaster at the moment and we have been for a while. I think once everything is settled it will happen, I am sure he has something in mind."

Though Caroline admitted the pressure-cooker environment of the series definitely tested their relationship, she said she was proud of how they handled the stress.

"A show like this does push people either towards each other or away from each other," the 23-year-old said.

"I think Lloyd and I definitely worked well together even though there were a lot of highs and lows."

With their MKR journey behind them, the pair are not following in the footsteps of many former contestants and trying to launch careers in the food industry.

Rather, they are picking up where they left off and resuming their university studies.

"Lloyd is returning to his medical studies and before he returns to that he is working at the University of Queensland in research," Caroline said.

"I will be starting to do my teaching practicals in schools in five weeks, so we are both extremely busy getting back to life before MKR. But we are really happy for the time we have had on the show."
