The work on the railway overbridge on the Gulbarga-Afzalpur State highway would begin on March 20.
Traffic has been diverted with immediate effect till the completion of the work. Deputy Commissioner Vipul Bansal said on Monday that heavy vehicles coming from and going towards Afzalpur have been diverted to use the Ring Road.
Similarly, light vehicles coming and going towards Afzalpur have been asked to take a diversion via new Jewargi Road. Two-wheelers would take a diversion via Banjara Cross and Biddapur colony to reach their destination.
