NEW DELHI: Two men were killed and two others injured in a road accident in south Delhi when their car hit a divider and overturned on Rao Tula Ram Marg on Sunday night.
Police said the driver was drunk and fled after the accident.
The deceased were identified as Amit Kumar (25) and Navneet (30). They, along with three others-Parul, Anil and Pankaj-were returning from a Gurgaon mall.
Police said Amit and Navneet had recently got jobs at an architectural firm in southwest Delhi and were out to celebrate with their friends.

The car belonged to Parul.
Parul told police that Pankaj was driving while he was sitting next to him. Anil, Amit, and Navneet were sitting on the rear seat. He said that they had left the mall around 11pm and were heading home to Sagarpur in southwest Delhi.
They decided to take an alternative route through RTR Marg since there was heavy traffic on road through Dhaula Kuan.
Parul said that Pankaj started speeding once he reached RTR Marg. The car hit the divider and overturned. It then, hit a tree. Pankaj managed to get out of the vehicle and inform the police, but fled before they arrived. The injured were rushed to AIIMS trauma centre, but Amit and Navneet were declared dead on arrival. The other two, Anil and Parul, were admitted with severe head injuries and broken limbs.
Police said that a case under Section 304A (causing death due to negligence) has been registered against Pankaj and a search is on to nab him.
