Social worker among 11 booked for land fraud worth crores

AKOLA: As many as 11 persons including social worker Jaspal Sing Nagra have been booked under Sections 420, 468, 471 of IPC on Sunday in connection with transaction of agricultural field owned by Sarika Sundarbansi of Gajanan Watika in Malkapur near Akola city, police said. All the 11 accused are absconding and are trying to get anticipatory bails from court. The complainant, Sarikabai got a property worth crores of rupees of survey no.3/9 in Akkalkot area by inheritance. The transactions of sale, purchase were executed between September 25, 2012 and March 21, 2013. The accused persons allegedly deleted the name of Sarikabai from the record and sold off the property, police said.
No arrest has been made so far.
