Rahul snoop row: The lost prince makes his presence felt in Parliament
Countering all charges being levied on Rahul Gandhi's government, BJP leader Arun Jaitley said collecting information about leaders was routine exercise done for security for VVIPs.
The Prince may be playing in some far off land but his armies are at play in Delhi. It is hilarious to see the Indian Parliament spend the tax payers hard earned money on an issues that begs seriousness. This more so because the person in question, whose right to privacy seems to have been compromised here, is an important leader who is not attending the important Parliament session.
Countering all charges being levied on his government, BJP leader Arun Jaitley said collecting information about leaders was routine exercise done for security for VVIPs. Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi was also of the same view. But Congress is viewing it differently and for once, unanimously.
Needless to say, the decibel levels have spilled over to Twitter.
BJP's Sambit Patra supported his party's view and said that Congress was making an issue out of a non-issue.
Very sorry to see the way Congress is wasting the valuable time of the Parliament for a Farcical Non-Issue #RahulSnoopFarce !! Sambit Patra (@sambitswaraj) March 16, 2015
Entrepreneur and a blogger, Sadhavi Khosla Dalal, said Congress protest was product of an Idle mind and nothing substantial was there in it.
Congress has no major and relevant issues to protest against the BJP Govt. How true "an Idle brain is a Devils Den". #RahulSnoopRow Sadhavi Khosla Dalal (@sadhavi) March 16, 2015
Who would be interested in snooping on the 'lost prince'? asks Twitterati
Really curious: is Congress going to outrage about non existent 'snooping' of their lost prince.. Why would anyone want to snoop lost Prince Sunanda Vashisht (@sunandavashisht) March 15, 2015
A routine police pro forma, given to Amit Shah & Rahul Gandhi among others, dubbed snoopgate2? Has Cong lost its marbles? Minhaz Merchant (@minhazmerchant) March 14, 2015
People even vented their anger against Congress party and questioned it for bringing the parliament to a standstill for a person who did not attend the important sessions .
What is Rahul Gandhi's relevance & contribution to the country that he has the power to bring Rajya Sabha to a standstill?? Priti Gandhi (@MrsGandhi) March 16, 2015
However when people across were questioning Congress for bringing up this issue, there party leader Digvijay Singh pointed finger on PM Narendra Modi and BJP party president Amit Shah for this incident.
Snooping on Political Leaders Judiciary & Persons of Interest to Modi and Amit Shah is nothing new. They have developed it into Fine Art. digvijaya singh (@digvijaya_28) March 16, 2015
When country is facing bad weather, farmers facing severe financial problems and vegetable price rise taking toll on common man then why policymakers are discussing so called snooping in Parliament.
If we want government to be responsible for its people, then opposition should also be responsible so that important issues can be discussed and debated which can benefit countrymen.
