Workshop held

Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology along with Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board and non-government organisation AIM conducted a workshop on testing potable water.

A release from the college said that in the programme organised as part of the National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week for school teachers and water supply workers of local bodies, experts told them how to test the quality of water supplied for human consumption. Teachers and workers from the Anamalai, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi South, Pollachi North and Sultanpet panchayat unions and Pollachi and Valparai municipalities participated. Doctors from the primary health centre in Puravipalayam explained to the participants the ways dengue, flu spread. College representatives also participated in the inauguration of the programme. - Staff Reporter
