ADM in police custody, more money tumbles out of cupboard

A day after additional district magistrate (ADM) Hanumangarh K M Dudiya was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a farmer, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) came to know about 15 bank accounts and 3 bank lockers at various places where he was posted over the past few years.

BIKANER: A day after additional district magistrate (ADM) Hanumangarh K M Dudiya was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a farmer, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) came to know about 15 bank accounts and 3 bank lockers at various places where he was posted over the past few years. Apart from the bribe money, the ACB has already seized Rs 64 lakh, jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh and registry papers of a plot in Jaipur.

Dudiya was produced in the court of special judge ACB, Sri Ganganagar from where he was sent in police custody for two days. Being a Sunday, ACB presented Dudiya at the residence of R K Sharma, special judge, ACB Court. The team furnished details of investigation and interrogation and requested for custody to which the court acceded.
ASP (ACB) Sahiram said that during preliminary interrogation, K M Dudiya admitted to taking Rs 5 lakh as second installment of bribe from Pawan Goyal towards land allotment in his favour. Dudiya admitted that first installment of bribe worth Rs 4.5 lakh was taken by him a month back.
ASP (ACB) Sahiram said, “We are examining every aspect of the case and till now have come to know about 15 bank accounts and 3 bank lockers in the name of K M Dudiya in places where he was posted.”
