KANPUR:
Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders and workers conducted 'hawan' and special prayers at neighbouring Auraiya district for early recovery of the party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, who is undergoing treatment at
Medanta hospital in Gurgaon.
The `hawan' conducted in Dharam Vihar colony of the district was attended among others by
SP district president Dinesh Singh Kushwaha, Gaurav Raghuvanshi, Rampal Singh, Lucky Yadav and several pary workers.
As oblations were offered in the `hawan' amid chanting of `mantras', slogans of `Dhartiputra Mulayam Singh Yadav Zindabad' (Long live son of soil Mulayam Singh Yadav) by party supporters rent the air.
"Netaji, a true secular and socialist, is ill and is undergoing treatment in Delhi. We are praying for his speedy recovery" said SP district resident Dinesh Singh Kushwaha.
According to sources, Mulayam was admitted in the Medanta Hospital after he complained of breathlessness and uneasiness during early hours on Saturday.
