Bagalkot district has succeeded in getting projects, including an IT park. This appears to be the effort of IT/BT and district in-charge Minister S.R. Patil who had been pressing for the establishment of IT parks in the region.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also announced development of Kudalasangam, a pilgrim place, on the lines of Akshardham temple, to boost tourism.
Funds have been allocated for the development of Badami, Pattadakallu and Aihole towns of the district.
The district BJP, however, has termed the budget “anti-farmer”.
