Law grad accused of strangling woman in ‘BDSM’ pad

A Manhattan law-school grad with a suspected BDSM fetish strangled a woman in his Murray Hill pad — where he kept creepy items that could’ve been straight out of “50 Shades of Grey.”

Ryan Hemphill, 33, will go on trial Monday after sending his victim into a “stupor” and making her experience a “loss of consciousness” in his apartment two years ago, according to court documents.

Cops found all sorts of sinister stuff when they searched his place, such as a baton sword, daggers and sheaths, a “Gag Factor 24″ porn DVD, black ski mask, white metal handcuffs, knives, Trojan condoms and metal knuckles.

“We believe he’s into BDSM,” law enforcement sources said.

Hemphill grabbed his victim around the neck with his hands and blocked her nose and mouth late at night on Feb. 28, 2013, according to the criminal complaint.

He also held a knife to her throat, saying, “If you don’t leave I will slit your throat,” the document states.

The year before, Hemphill threw her to the ground and strangled her again by “applying pressure to her throat and neck, and blocking her nose and mouth.”

The complaint states that he “caused her to become dizzy, suffer bruising and redness to her neck area, as well as to suffer substantial pain to her neck area.”

She also, “suffered scratches around her mouth area, as well as bruising and lacerations to her wrist and elbow,” it says.

Hemphill has been charged with strangulation in the second degree, menacing, criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal possession of a weapon.

He graduated from law school but hasn’t passed the bar yet, law enforcement sources said.

According to an online resume, Hemphill graduated from Hofstra Law School in 2012 after attending the honors college there.

He later worked in finance as a legal extern, the resume says.

“My client denies all allegations of any criminal wrongdoing,” said defense lawyer Jason Steinberger.
