NLC Chief Vigilance Officer bags award

The Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad, on Thursday honoured Shiv Raj Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer of the Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) Ltd., with the Best Vigilance Personnel Award at the “Conclave of Vigilance Officers.”

The Institute also honoured NLC with Vigilance Excellence Award at a function hosted at the Osmania University in Hyderabad.

P. Madhusudan, chairman and managing director, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited and K.R.S. Sastry, Advisor and Senior Faculty Member of IPE presented the awards to Mr. Singh. According to a press note, the NLC stated that the Vigilance Department led by Mr. Singh, had made several recommendations that helped NLC secure significant savings. The Department also leveraged Information Technology and launched a number of e-initiatives, such as the “Online Vigilance Clearance System,” a facility introduced by Mr. Singh for issuing no objection certificate to employees.

The NLC picked up a third award with the Vigilance Department of NLC Ltd. bagging the Vigilance Excellence Award at the conclave.
