The city police have intensified patrolling outside the office of Puthiya Thalaimurai news channel in Guindy Industrial Estate.

Early on Thursday, low-intensity crude bombs were hurled into the premises of the news office by unidentified men on two-wheelers. Nobody was hurt in the incident. A senior officer of the Chennai City Police said two patrol vehicles had been posted on the street, round-the-clock, and all vehicles passing through the street are being monitored.

The police are also keeping tabs on certain Hindu outfits to prevent similar incidents in the future, the officer said.
