Ravindra Gautam plans to shoot his next in Lucknow

Director Ravindra Gautam, who has not only directed numerous TV serials, including Madhubala, Bade Acche Lagte Hain and the more recent Begusarai, but has also debuted as a director on the silver screen with the critically-acclaimed movie Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami, is now looking for a commercial success in Bollywood. Ravindra, who was in Lucknow recently, says his next will be shot in his hometown Lucknow.

“Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami was quite critically acclaimed but I want my next to be a commercial hit and I am now working towards it,” says Ravindra, adding.“I want to connect more with the youth with my next movie, the script of which I am busy penning. If all goes well, it will be shot in Lucknow post monsoons.”
Ask him why Lucknow, and pat comes the reply, “Yeh mera apna shehr hai. As a serial director too I have never shot in Lucknow, though I have covered many other cities of UP like Banaras, Allahabad, etc. So I want to shoot here. I am emotionally attached to Lucknow. Plus, I have written the story keeping this city in mind.”
