We're with you, Baby Nirbhaya

In a show of solidarity with Baby Nirbhaya, hundreds of Amdavadis gathered in a candlelight vigil organised by Ahmedabad Global Shapers and Aasman NGO to protest against the brutal sexual assault on the six-year-old.
The march was held from Panjrapole crossroads to Vastrapur lake. People from different walks of life joined the silent rally and lit candles at Vastrapur lake.They included two women toy-sellers who put their business aside and joined the rally. "We are praying for her speedy recovery," one of them said.
"We pray to god that she gets well soon," they said, offering to donate a day's earnings to the girl. RJ Dhvanit and social entrepreneur Janki Vasant of Samvedana also shared their thoughts with the crowd. Viral Shah, who had organised the rally, has created a Facebook page called Ahmedabad with Baby Nirbhaya to allow people a platform to raise their voice against such heinous crimes. The page will also encourage people to come up with solutions to check such crimes and assist the government in the same. The group is planning to send a letter to Gujarat chief minister Anandiben Patel and to women and child welfare minister to take strictest action against perpetrators of such crimes.
