Get, set for the future

It’s yet another opportunity for Bengaluru’s TEDx enthusiasts to get together! BNM Institute of Technology, will host the second edition of TEDxBNMIT on March 14. The event will be held in the campus of BNMIT, Banashankari 2nd stage and is scheduled to start at 9 am.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised
events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.

At BNMIT, on March 14, eight speakers from various walks of life and two brilliant performers will take to the stage to carry the audience through an incredible, day-long journey.

The theme for this edition is ‘Next is Here’. As many as 100 tickets have been made available to the general public and can be booked on bookmyshow.com.

The speakers include Dr BS Srinath (senior surgical oncologist), Sharath Gayakwad (Indian paralympic champion), Anil Shetty (co-founder, Peace Auto), Uma Hoysala (organic farming enthusiast), Gadhadar Reddy (founder, NoPo Technologies), Abhay Swamy (co-founder, The Axiz) and Sadiq Pasha (Inspector of Police), Shriya Dinakar (budding astronaut). Apart from the intriguing speakers, the dynamic dance duo of Shruti and Parshwanath Upadhye and gifted sand artist Jahnavi Bananki will be performing at the event.

TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to ideas worth spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives.
