Alicanto Minerals starts gold exploration in Guyana

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors)

Alicanto Minerals (ASX:AQI) has started exploration on southern extensions of the Gomes Trend at its Arakaka Gold Project in Guyana where over 5 kilometres of +100ppb soil anomalism extends from drilled mineralisation.

This includes multiple +1 gram per tonne gold results with peak values of 6g/t 2.84g/t and 1.65g/t gold.

Alicanto plans to commence a soil extension program and in-fill auger sampling program designed to refine and prioritise the extensive high tenor responses highlighted in the initial soil geochemistry survey.

The auger program will include 4 lines of 10m spaced drilling targeted to better define prospects for drilling with more discrete width of targets within the extensive soil anomalism and confirm in-situ mineralisation.

Arakaka is made up of a number of permits subject to underlying agreements that cover a total area of over 300 square kilometres within the Northern Guyana Shield.
