The Department of Pre-University Education, Chamarajanagar has made necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination that will commence from Thursday.
The examinations will be conducted in 16 centres across the district, including four in Chamarajanagar taluk, two each in Hanur and Yelandur, three in Gundlupet taluk and five in Kollegal.
As many as 7,583 students in the district are appearing for the examination. Of them, 3,820 are boys and 3,763 girls. While 2,338 candidates are from the commerce stream, 1,408 are from science and 3,837 from the arts stream.
The PU Department staff members were seen busy marking the roll numbers of candidates at all the exam centres on Wednesday.
The vigilance squads have been constituted, including those headed by DDPUE and Principals of various colleges, to monitor the exam centres across the district.
In view of the exams, the Deputy Commissioner has issued prohibitory orders within 200-metre radius of all exam centres in the district from March 12 to 27 to ensure the smooth conduct of exams and to prevent any malpractices.
