RAJKOT: Rajkot city police team went to Surat which is probing the case of attempted murder on BJP Councilor Damyanti Rathod's husband Jagdish Rathod. BJP Councilor Narendra Solanki's name also cropped up in an attempt to murder case of husband of BJP Councilor Damayanti Rathod.
Police said that accused had gone to Surat after attacking on Rathod and therefore they have gone to Surat to collect more evidence in this case.

Jagdish Rathod was attacked by three persons at his office on March 3 and was rushed to hospital. His wife Damayanti Rathod lodged a case of attempt to murder against unidentified persons. Police later on arrested three persons in connection with the attack on Rathod. Those arrested were Vikram Rabari (32) of Ashapuranagar, Daulatsinh Solanki (27) of Ranujanagar and Manoj Solanki (31) of Ashapuranagar.
Narendra Solanki, who tendered his resignation as BJP Councilor on Monday before he set on strike at Trikon Baug, is former standing committee chairman of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC). Exactly year ago he left the worldly life and started living a sadhu life with changing his name from Narendra Solanki to 'Narendra Bapu and started free kitchen service near Chotila on Ahmedabad-Rajkot highway which is known as Apa Giga no Otlo'.
Earlier on Monday, Solanki alleged that police inspector J D Gadhavi of Bhaktinagar police station demanded Rs 10 lakh from him for not dragging his name in a case related to attack on BJP councillor's husband Jagdish Rathod.
J D Gadhavi denied the allegation as baseless.
"Accused Vikram Rabari, in his statement to us, told that he and with his friends attacked on Rathod at the behest of Solanki. Vikram has been in touch with Solanki since last many years and he is followers of Solanki. Solanki asked Vikram to beaten him up as Rathod was defaming him on his facebook'' said police.
