HAZARIBAG: Regional deputy commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya D.Mani Venan has ordered the closure of three Kendriya Vidayalayas (central schools) at Bhurkunda in Ramgarh and Hinoo and HEC in Ranchi as the existing buildings have been declared 'condemned' by the central public works department.
Vennan said on Tuesday that minister of state for finance Jayant Sinha, in whose Lok Sabha constituency Bhurkunda school falls, and Ranchi MP Ram Tahal Choudhury were informed about the closure.

As a result of this decision, admissions for Class 1 (and other classes) in all three central schools have been suspended for the next academic session. "10 acres of land has already been assigned for the construction of three new school buildings. We have not received any response from the government or concerned district administrations," said Venan. He added that efforts are being made to meet chief minister Raghubar Das to apprise him about the situation.
He added that they have been looking for a plot of land to construct the regional DC's office for central school in Ranchi since 2012, but have not received a positive response from the government in this regard. Vennan did not comment on the fate of the teachers and students of the three Kendriya Vidyalayas facing closure.
