Lakshman in Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu sequel

Director Suseenthiran has written a sequel to his acclaimed debut film Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu, which will be directed by Shekar, his associate, who also worked on the first film. They have cast Annakodi actor Lakshman Narayan in the lead role. Says Lakshman, ���Suseenthiran sir had planned a sequel right at the time he had completed the first film. He was looking for a suitable face to cast as the lead and after seeing the preview of Jeeva (in which he played a crucial supporting role), he felt that I will fit the character.���
All the actors who were part of the titular kabaddi team in the first film will be appearing in this one as well, including Kishore who played the coach.The original���s composer Selvaganesh will be the music director while R Madhie is the cinematographer. The film is expected to go on floors by April 23.
Meanwhile, the team has roped in actor Pasupathy for the role of the hero���s dad, reveals Lakshman and adds that while the first film dealt more with the team, this one will focus more on the lead character. ���VKK ended with the revelation that Vishnu���s character died after the final match. This film continues from that point and will revolve around a new person who is brought into the team as Vishnu���s replacement,��� he explains.
