INDORE: The motorcade of auxiliary nurse midwife (ANM)-turned-BJP MLA Yogita Navalsingh Borkar was allegedly attacked by opposition Congress supporters in Deshgaon area of adjoining Khandwa district on Tuesday evening.
Yogita, the 35-year-old MLA representing Pandhana assembly seat of Khandwa allegedly sustained slight injuries in the attack and has been admitted at the Khandwa district hospital ICU where she is stated out of danger.

Two persons, including one Nitiraj have been arrested and several attackers have been booked under Sections 341, 294 and 506 of IPC by the Chaigaon Makhan police. The incident prima facie appears a case of post poll violence, SP Khandwa MS Sikarwar told TOI.
The alleged attack took place when Yogita embarked in an MUV was returning from a Holi Milan program at Devla Mathi village. When the motorcade was passing through Deshgaon, around 20 persons stopped the motorcade and pelted stones, particularly on the MUV in which the MLA and her husband Navalsingh were seated.
The unruly group also heckled the ruling party MLA.
The MLA immediately went to Deshgaon police outpost and got a case lodged against the attackers. She was later hospitalized.
Her supporter Chintaram Jagtap, who was elected Chaigaon Makhan Janpad Panchayat president in closely fought election on Monday, alleged the hand of local Congress leaders Devendra Singh Gond and Ajay Singh in the attack.
“On Monday during janpad panchayat poll, the same Congress workers had misbehaved with her in Deshgaon,” Jagtap added.
