History of bagpipes through the ages

Bagpipes, the iconic national musical instrument of Scotland, may have originated in India more than 3,000 years ago.

Dr Vivien Williams, a researcher from Glasgow University, has been tracing literary references to bagpipes throughout the ages to try to understand the cultural history of the instrument.
