Feluda,
Anjan Dutt was in a spot not so long back. But not only has the director pulled himself out of a temporary crisis, he is quick to find a replacement in
Jisshu U Sengupta. And after letting the fate of Bomkesh's friend Ajit and wife Satyabati remain hanging in balance for some time, Anjan has now decided to retain his earlier cast of
Saswata Chatterjee and
Ushashie Chakraborty in the said roles.
FIRST LOOK: Jisshu Sengupta as Byomkesh Bakshi Before the release of
Bomkesh Phire Elo one of the rare success stories of last year the director had said in an interview, If Gupi goes, Bagha has to go. If Saswata or Ushashie stay, people will be reminded of Abir. I'm in a major mess, but will find a way out. I'll have to speak to Saswata and find out if he will change his looks. I can't walk out on him and need his help to sort things out. Ideally, a fresh team would be good. It's not that I won't get actors, but I'm not getting anyone from Kolkata. For Satyabati, I once thought of
Paoli, but I'll have to speak to Ushashie first."
