#AllAboutOpen Twitter event hosted by Open College at Kaplan University (OC@KU) and the Open Education Consortium (OEC) is the first of its kind organized to bring awareness and understanding to all things ‘open.’ The event on Wednesday, March 11 starts at 8 a.m. ET as part of Open Education Week (#OpenEducationWk).

The 24-hour live event features influential contributors to the open education movement from across the globe, including WCET, Blackboard, Creative Commons, MIT Opencourseware, Udemy, Federal University of Ceará - Quixadá Campus (UFCE), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Each 30-minute session covers topics such as finding and using open education resources (OER’s), Open Pedagogy, Adaptive Learning: Why, Where, and How? and Implementing OER in the Classroom.

"One of the most exciting dynamics we're seeing in open learning is around how learners are using the information they gain through open education resources,” said Peter Smith, President of OC@KU. “The marathon #AllAboutOpen Twitter event is designed to bring thought leaders together for a global conversation around related trends that help solve for many big issues.”
