Repair electric crematorium

The incinerator in the electric crematorium which is in Karuvadikuppam appears to be in need of repair. As it is malfunctioning, the corpses are cremated in the traditional way which emits a lot of smoke. It is a great nuisance to the passersby and the people who live there. It would be a great help if the authorities concerned look into the matter and do the needful.

Expedite railway projects in Puducherry

Railway road overbridge at two locations in Puducherry: one on East Coast Road, Mudaliarpet and another at Arumparthapuram need to be speeded up to avoid traffic chaos.

The projects must be taken up in this financial year in public interest, irrespective of reasons like insufficient fund allocation in the Railway Budget or non deposit of the State government share.

Measures to aid tourism

I was asked by a tourist for directions to the Joan of Arc statue. With a large number of tourists visiting Puducherry, especially during the weekends, the Tourism Department must ensure large scale publicity and signage boards.
