NEW DELHI: Hosts Shyam Lal College beat Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College 5-2 in the tie breaker to win the 4th Padmashree Shyam Lal memorial hockey tourney.
Karan and Arpan scored a goal each for the champion team Shyam Lal College while Gulab scored a brace for Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College during the regulation time.
Chief guest Manoj Tiwari announced Rs 10 lakh for Shyam Lal College from his MP fund and he also assured for establishing Astroturf in the Shyam Lal College premises through sports ministry.

Guest of honour Ashok Dhyanchand also appreciated the efforts of Manoj Tiwari and distributed prize to winners & runners up teams.
The function was presided over by chairperson Savita Gupta as she also announced Rs 10,000 to Shyam Lal College hockey team for their outstanding performance.
Shyam Lal College goalkeeper Rupesh was declared 'Man of the Match' as well as 'Player of the Tournament' for his terrific job under the bar.
