Ministers refute YSRC charges on land pooling

Opposition leader misleading people, they say

March 08, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Ministers Palle Raghunatha Reddy and Ravela Kishore Babu have dismissed the allegations of YSR Congress that the State government was turning land pooling for the capital into a real estate business.

The Governor’s address to the legislature clearly spelt out the development, welfare agenda and priorities of the State government over the five years and the vision behind the new capital city, they said addressing media persons here on Saturday.

Those who were rejected by people, indulged in scams alone termed the Governor’s address as a pack of lies. Opposition leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was misleading people about land pooling with a motive, Mr. Kishore Babu said.

Mr. Raghunatha Reddy said of 33,000 acres, 15,000 acres would be for providing amenities.“Mr. Pawan Kalyan is our friend and genuinely interested in development of the State and his concern was for farmers’ livelihood,” they said. However, when he understood there was no coercion and the liberal package offered to the farmers who parted with their lands, he saw the merit in the land pooling, he said.

Taking a dig at the YSRC, Mr. Kishore Babu said those who had given away thousands of lands unilaterally to individuals such as 25,000 acres for Vanpic strangely were questioning the need for 33,000 acres for building a capital.

Pawan Kalyan is our friend and genuinely interested in development of the State.
