Robbed SUV recovered

CHANDIGARH: The robbed SUV of Karandeep Singh Brar, director, St Soldier School, Mohali, was found abandoned near Panipat on the Delhi highway on Saturday. A team of Chandigarh police was dispatched to bring the vehicle back.
The SUV, two cellphones and Rs 35,000 were robbed from Brar by four unknown youths at gunpoint near the Dinosaur Park in Sector 50 on February 14.The robbers had confined Brar in the SUV and flung him on the Patiala road near Zirakpur. Sources said the SUV was spotted by some local residents, who informed the highway police. Chandigarh police have failed to obtain any clues in the case.
The Sector 33 resident was returning home from Sector 50 when the robbers wielding pistols carjacked him. Police sources said two robberies, near Shambhu barrier, Rajpura, and the Khuda Lahora bank robbery are being reviewed in connection with this case. A case was registered at Sector 34 police station.
