Correa makes return as Astros fall to Cardinals in exhibition

JUPITER, Fla. – Top Astros prospect Carlos Correa returned to game action Friday, notching an RBI single in Houston’s 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium.

Correa, the 2012 first overall pick who suffered a season-ending leg injury last June at high Class A Lancaster, went 1 for 2 with an RBI. He brought in Colin Moran in the Astros’ two-run seventh inning.

Brett Oberholtzer started for the Astros and gave up one unearned run in two innings. The Cardinals struck for four runs in the sixth inning off reliever Alex White, who gave up three hits and walked two in one-third of an inning.
