Officials check efforts to prevent dengue

: K. Phanindra Reddy, Principal Secretary to Government, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, inspected drinking water scheme and dengue prevention works at Poolampadi town panchayat on Thursday.

He inspected the wells at Arumbavur Sitherikarai, the new well constructed under Integrated Urban Development scheme for the year 2013-14, improvement work taken up at the Nalla Thanneer Kulam lake. He advised officials to cover the town panchayat wells with net and improve the main drainage at Poolampadi town panchayat. He enquired people about water supply and dengue prevention work. He checked whether there were mosquito larvae in the water kept in vessels.

Darez Ahamed, Collector. M. Margaret Suseela, Assistant Director, Town Panchayat, Tiruchi region, P. Suresh Kumar, Assistant Executive Engineer, and N. Kumaran, Executive Officer, Poolampadi town panchayat, accompanied Mr. Reddy.
