Dave Chisnall averaged just shy of 111 as he thrashed PDC world champion Gary Anderson 7-2 to move top of the Premier League table.

Chisnall continued his recent good form during Week Five, held at Exeter's Westpoint Arena, to move a point clear of world No.1 Michael van Gerwen at the summit and remain the only unbeaten player in this year's tournament.

For the second successive week, Van Gerwen was involved in a spat with his opponent as he eventually ground out a 6-6 draw against Peter Wright.

The Dutchman took exception to Wright's actions after the Scot delayed his final dart on a 160 finish to gee up the crowd. Last week, Van Gerwen accused Adrian Lewis of throwing slowly and once again he was not happy, labelling Wright's actions "not professional."

Wright responded by branding Van Gerwen a "baby" and told the former world champion to "grow up." Elsewhere, Stephen Bunting recorded his Premier League win with a 7-3 victory against an out-of-sorts Adrian Lewis.

Phil Taylor came back from a 4-1 deficit against James Wade to record a 7-5 victory, which saw him win the match with a superb 140 checkout.

And in Thursday evening's opening match, Kim Huybrechts also recorded his first win of the tournament as he beat defending champion Raymond van Barneveld 7-5 in a high-quality encounter. Barneveld missed double 12 for a nine-dart leg in only the third leg of the match, while Belgian Huybrechts claimed victory with a maximum 170 finish.
