PANAJI: A Nigerian national, who supplied cocaine to a ‘smoke party’ in Kochi, Kerala, where a wannabe Mollywood actor and four women, including a fashion model, were involved, has been arrested in the coastal belt of North Goa by the anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the Goa police working in tandem with the Kerala police.
ANC sleuths detained Okowe Chigozie Collins, 29, and handed him over to the Kerala police.

The Kerala police later took him on a transit warrant to Kochi for investigations. Collins was produced before the judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) court, Pernem, Goa, for the transit remand.
Kerala police officials had come to Goa last month to investigate claims made by Reshma Rangaswamy, a model and associate of Bengaluru-based designer Blessy Silvaster, that the drug—seven grams of cocaine—was purchased from a person called Franck at Anjuna beach. The police had to return empty-handed.
A senior ANC police officer told TOI that during the “thorough” interrogation of those caught in the ‘smoke party’ raid Kerala police learnt that the drug dealer had gone to Kochi via train to handover the drug. Tracing the dealer from CCTV footage at the Kochi railway station, they carried the photograph with them on their next trip to Goa, which was on Monday.
Once again they failed to nab the accused, so they approached the Goa-ANC for help, said sources. ANC PSIs Shitakant Nayak and Dinesh Gadekar were given the task of tracing and arresting the accused. After gathering information from reliable sources, they identified the accused, located him, and laid a trap to arrest him.

Collins was arrested from outside a restaurant at Chopdem. He has been living in Goa for the last four years.
Police said this is the first time Collins has been caught in a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) case. He was earlier arrested by Calangute police for overstaying.
On February 1, Kerala police busted a ‘smoke party’ in Kochi, where they arrested actor Shine Tom Chacko and four women inside a duplex flat in Kadavanthra, Kerala.
