Beukes brings new hope, excitement to Cranes camp

KAMPALA. With approximately three months left to their first international engagement of the 2015 calendar, the Rugby Cranes camp is already oozing with new hope like a drowning man who finally clutches a straw, thanks to the arrival of new coach Joe Beukes.
The South African tactician has been lauded by his players for the way he handled them during the daily training sessions at Kyadondo RFC.
The mood in the camp is positive with over 40 players scrapping for places on the final team. The Tuesday evening session was evidence that every player is desperate to impress and make the cut.
“ everyone is pumped up because he (Beukes) is teaching us many new things that we all want to learn in order to better our game as a unit” Cranes captain Brian Odongo led the plaudits.
The mood in the champ is good and everyone is trying to learn so much from the new coach as he has a lot to offer. Everyone enjoys working with him, because he’s more professional and precise,” praised Michael Wokorach.
“The mood is lively and everyone seems to be excited to fight for a place on the team. Competition is tight and he encourages us a lot,” said Mongers` captain John Wandicho.
“He has created a bond with us and gone on to try and learn the local language (luganda). you can see that he`s try to get a better player in each of one of us,” said Rhinos flank Herman Sekamwa.
