Man kills wife

A 28-year-old woman was murdered by her husband at Hayathnagar on Tuesday. The accused, Ganapathi, who was a daily-wager, was married to Geeta of Anajpur village in Hayathnagar. Differences cropped up between them a few months ago and since then they were staying separately. The woman had also filled a dowry harassment case against Ganapathi.

Ganapathi met Geeta following an effort by both their families to solve the problem, but they had an argument . “In a fit of rage, Ganapathi stabbed the woman resulting in her death,” Sub-Inspector Hayathnagar, S. Srinath said.

GHMC sweepers held on kidnapping charge

Two GHMC sweepers were arrested by the Narayanguda police on charge of kidnapping a four-year-old girl last week.

Gosangi Saimma and Babamma kidnapped the child as the latter did not have children. On February 25 night, they kidnapped Sahitya, who was sleeping along with her parents B. Swathi and Sondas on the pavement near King Koti Hospital.

After kidnapping the child, the women took her to their house at Kukatpally. Based on a complaint made by the girl’s mother, the police launched an investigation and rescued the girl.

Held on cheating charge

The Marketing Intelligence Technical Team of Hyderabad Central Crime Station on Tuesday nabbed a person on charge of cheating people by allegedly claiming to arrange visas for them. Sruchit Kumar Gupta Velishala alias Kartik Iswakula (28) of Miyapur, created a fake website ‘H1 Base India’ and contacted visa aspirants who posted their details on the website.
