Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is set to receive a special ‘gift’ on Holi from senior Congress leader Shabbir Ali.
The gift is a courier- delivered 10-feet ‘promise tracker’ which is designed like the ‘shahi farman’ of the Nizams.
The list enumerates the promises Mr Rao has made during the last 276 days. Mr Ali, an MLC, on Wednesday unveiled the tracker at the Gandhi Bhavan.
Mr Ali said out of 101 promises made by Mr Rao, only three have been implemented, 18 partially and the other 80 are yet to see the light of day. He said since the Chief Minister is “behaving like a monarch”, they decided to use design the tracker in the old Nizam style. He said that the tracker lists only 101 major promises; if all the promises Mr Rao had made were included, even 10 such farmans would be insufficient.
