March 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - ADILABAD:

Over 53,000 candidates will appear for the Intermediate first and second year exams in Adilabad district scheduled to be held between March 9 and 25. While 22,614 candidates will take the first year exam 25,006 will appear for the second year examination to be conducted in 89 centres across the district.

Reviewing arrangements for the exams with officials of various departments on Wednesday, Collector M. Jagan Mohan said the exams will be held between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Four flying squads have been deputed besides the 10 sitting squads to control malpractice during the exams.

The Collector warned college managements that any laxity will draw stringent action. He asked RTC officials to run buses for different centres for the benefit of candidates coming from rural areas and Transco officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply during exam hours.
