Nagpur: Death toll due to
swine flu in Nagpur division touched 68 on Wednesday with four more patients succumbing to the disease. Three suspected patients also passed away on the day. Thirteen patients tested positive for the disease.
Two swine flu patients at
Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and one each at
Orange City Hospital and
Research Institute (OCHRI) and
Wockhardt Hospital died. One of them was resident of Nagpur, living in Civil Lines.
Two belonged to Sagar and Betul in Madhya Pradesh.
“Of the thirteen samples found positive today, four patients are from GMCH – one female and three males. One of these male patients is an eight-month-old child, another is a four-year old. The swine flu ward of the hospital now has 8 positive and 14 suspected patients admitted in it,” said an official from GMCH. He added that the paediatric ward has 4 positive and three suspected patients.
