SJVN Pays Rs 168 Crore Dividend to Centre for FY15

Shimla: State-owned power firm Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has paid an interim dividend of Rs 167.99 crore to the Union government for financial year 2014-15.

The dividend cheque was handed over to Union Power Minister Piyush Goel by SJVN chairman and managing director R N Misra at New Delhi, the company said in a statement.

The Union government holds a 64.5 per cent stake in SJVN while the Himachal Pradesh government has 25.5 per cent equity.

The PSU last month declared an interim dividend of 63 paise per share of Rs 10 each for FY15.

Last year, the company paid dividend of Rs 405.39 crore to its shareholders.

R N Misra informed that the 412 MW Rampur Hydro Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh and 47.6 MW Khirwire Wind Power Project in Maharashtra had been fully commissioned during current financial year.

During the financial year 2014-15, SJVN targets to generate 7920 MUs of power, he said.
