The city’s cultural circuit was introduced to a new genre of storytelling as the Cambodia Reamke Performing Art Troupe 2 performed the story of Ramayana during the International Ramayana Mela, which is a much-anticipated event in Bhopal’s cultural calendar. Organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), the artistes performed a Cambodian rendition of some stories from the Ramayan.
Their elaborate costumes and headgears was one of the highlights of the acts, besides, of course, the unique way in which they told the epic story. Besides CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj also graced the occasion.
