To commemorate 15 years in the fight against TB, REACH, a Chennai-based NGO, is organising a fundraiser concert on March 6, Friday.

Isha Rumi, a performance by Sunaad, is a theatrical juxtaposition of all 18 shlokas of the Isha Upanishad with ten stories from the Masnavi , by Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. Every story from the Masnavi appears to have been crafted to explain the Isha verses. Composed by Padmashree Gundecha Bandhu in Dhrupad music, the Sanskrit shlokas and the Persian verses are accessible and appealing to audiences across India.

Sunaad is an eclectic group of singers from Bangalore whose aim is to demystify the complexity of classical music and make it more accessible to listeners. REACH is a Chennai-based non-profit organisation that has been working towards its vision of a TB-free India since 1999.

The performance will take place at 7 p.m. on March 6 at Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Harrington Road, Chetpet. To reserve your passes, please call 2813 2099 or 4556 5445. For more information on TB, please call the REACH TB Helpline on 9962063000
