Red Sox wear jerseys honoring founder of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

On Tuesday, the Boston Red Sox played an exhibition game against Boston College, at which both teams wore jerseys honoring Pete Frates, ALS patient and founder of the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Frates wore No. 3 when he played baseball for Boston College.

According to TODAY, the jerseys will be auctioned off for Frates’ #3 Fund, which supports a host of ALS-related charities.
