Anne Globe has joined Skydance Productions in the newly created role of chief marketing officer.

In this role Globe will oversee marketing, publicity, branding, licensing and promotion for all Skydance properties and she will report to CEO David Ellison.

The former chief marketing officer for DreamWorks Animation had most recently been serving as a entertainment consultant for various live-action and animated productions. During her time at DWA, Globe was responsible for overseeing the worldwide marketing while also creating and implementing the consumer products and promotional campaigns for DreamWorks Animation’s feature films and other creative properties including the “Shrek” and “Madagascar” franchises and “How to Train Your Dragon.”

“As Skydance continues to grow, we found it crucial to have an inhouse executive to oversee all aspects of marketing. Anne’s creative approach, depth of knowledge and wide-ranging experience is exactly what we need to lead Skydance into the future. We are very lucky to have her,” said Ellison.

Skydance has a busy slate forthcoming on both the TV and film fronts. In May its comedy “Grace and Frankie” is set to bow on Netflix, while its WGN America drama “Manhattan” is headed into its second season of production. On the film side it has a handful of films bowing this year, including “Mission: Impossible 5” and “Terminator: Genisys.”
