Toyota poised to name first foreign vice president

NAGOYA -- Toyota Motor is expected to appoint its first non-Japanese executive vice president and its first female executive April 1 in a bid to diversify the management team to better meet changing global demands.

     Didier Leroy, 57, currently serves as a senior managing officer for the automaker while heading the European division. He began his career at Renault after gaining his bachelor's degree in engineering in Nancy, France.
