Cherry Mobile Alpha View Price, Specs, Press Photos : Officially Announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

As a follow-up to what I disclosed last Sunday - March 1, 2015 - regarding Cherry Mobile's landmark participation in MWC 2015, allow me to share with you official details about one of the two very affordable Windows Phone handsets that the company has just announced at the event and that are now on display at Microsoft's booth in Barcelona.

Cherry Mobile Alpha View

Cherry Mobile Alpha View is a full-fledged phablet running the Redmond Giant's Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. It is equipped with a massive 6-inch 720 x 1280 pixels HD IPS display and has a removable 2,600 mAh Li-Ion battery pack.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 and Adreno 302 based Qualcomm Snapdragon 8212 processor, has 1 GB of RAM for multitasking, and comes with 8GB of ROM that users can easily augment using the device's microSD card slot.

Flaunting such a large screen, Cherry Mobile Alpha View is obviously ideal for Windows Phone fans who want to be able to enjoy their favorite content - including games, ebooks, photos, videos, blogs, websites, or social networking apps - without having to squint their eyes due to limited display space. At 6 inches, CMAV's screen is bigger than that of Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4; Not as crisp, but definitely bigger.

According to Microsoft Corporation, Cherry Mobile Alpha View - which is available in two hues, Black and White - will come with an official suggested retail price of less than Php 5,000. They didn't give an exact amount but I'm expecting it to not cost less than Php 4,000. That said, my price guesstimate for it is in the range of Php 4,500 to Php 4,999. However, as always, I'm hoping that it will be more affordable than that so more consumers would be able to get it.
