More Android users are reportedly going to receive the 5.1 version of the Lollipop update. The latest devices to get the said version are the Spice Dream Uno and Spice Dream Uno H smartphones, both from Android One.

NDTV Gadgets said the update will roll out in the next few days. As always, it will be in stages. The two devices were both first launched with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.

"The Android Lollipop 5.1 update is the latest version of Android operating system and offers a significantly improved smartphone experience with an enhanced visual appeal, user interface and general improvements in system stability," the report quoted the cellphone brand saying.

Meanwhile, a separate report from TechVorm cited Spice Mobility Ltd CEO Prashant Bindal saying, "In line with our brand promise 'Always the latest', we are delighted to be the first player to release the Android Lollipop 5.1 update, exclusively for our Spice Dream Uno users in India. Android Lollipop 5.1 is the latest version of Lollipop and consists of lots of improvements over Lollipop 5.0, such as an improved battery and RAM management and smarter notifications, thereby offering our customers an enhanced user experience. In the future as well, we look forward to be the first to offer our consumers the latest technology with our devices."

HTC's Product Management vice president Mo Versi earlier revealed that Google's next maintenance release would be this March. By pressing the icons, you will be able to toggle the its on/off functions. Plus, you can go to the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings menu by pressing the new 'More settings' button.

Aside from this, the new Lollipop update version is also expected to bring new clock animations and an upgraded screen pinning.
