MUMBAI: Nikon has launched D7200, its latest D-SLR camera, which offers an enhanced sensor and wireless capabilities.
Nikon D7200 is a 24.2MP D-SLR with Nikon’s EXPEED 4 image-processing engine and the new DX-format CMOS sensor. It is capable of ISO range between 100-25,600, while retaining the image quality at lower ISOs and with faster image processing speeds. Thanks to a new larger buffer that can hold up to 18 RAW’s or 100 large JPEGs in continuous shooting mode.

The new autofocus sensor module provides an AF detection range down to -3EV in low-light conditions. The D7200 now supports 1080/60p in 1.3x format and 1080/30p normal video recording.
Nikon also claims that this is the first DSLR with a timelapse mode that features its own exposure adjustment, so you can take interval photographs from dusk till dawn at an even and constant exposure. There are several features for budding movie makers, from auto ISO to wind noise reduction when using the built in stereo microphone. You can even set the microphone to capture wide sounds or voice only for interviews.
There’s a 3.2-inch display to view your pictures or live view shots and an OLED overlay on the viewfinder. The camera features the same rugged magnesium alloy body that the D7100 sported, sealed against dust and water droplets. The Nikon D7200 also has built in Wi-Fi as well as NFC support so photographers can easily transfer photos to a laptop or share them online wirelessly.
There are no details on the pricing of the D7200 in India, but the Nikon D7200 w/18-140 VR Kit goes on sale in April 2015. Internationally the camera retails for about $1200.
